Margaritas are my favorite cocktail to enjoy, especially over the summer. This summer I am aiming to incorporate more natural sugar into my cocktails when I do drink as I will need it as my mileage for my Sydney Marathon training increases. These frozen strawberry margarita cocktails are the perfect blend of sweet and cold to cool off on a hot summer’s day. This recipe is enough for one cocktail and I find that making one at a time is best to get the right slushy consistency without getting to watered down or to icy. Cheers and enjoy!

Frozen Strawberry Margarita
Ingredients
- 2 oz Teremana Blanco Tequila
- 1 oz. Cointreau
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 2 limes, juiced
- 1 Tbsp or so chamoy for rimming
- 1.5 tsp spicy salt + more for rimming (I use a Tajin rimmer)
- lime for garnish
Prepare
- First, place the tequila, Cointreau, strawberries, and lime juice in a blender and blend until the frozen strawberry chunks are well blended.
- Next, place the chamoy onto a small, flat dish.
- Dip the rim of your glass into the chamoy then dip into the spicy salt.
- Finally, garnish your drink with a slice of lime and enjoy!
