Strawberry and Banana Crepes

Strawberry and Banana Crepes, homemade crepes, dessert, breakfast, food blogger, Sun and Salt Wellness

I absolutely love crepes and they take me back to 2013 when Jose and I travelled to Montreal together to photograph a wedding. On one of the nights we were adventuring around Montreal we came upon a crepe shop. We both tried the strawberry and banana with Nutella crepes and fell in love. It has been all this time after that is has taken me to find that as a friend recently suggested that I try this crepe maker contraption by Baker’s Friend from amazon. It makes crepe making a cinch and is easy to clean and store.

Ingredients
Prepare
  1. First, plug your Crepe maker and turn it on. Allow it to warm up for about five minutes or more. The indicator will light up red when it is ready.
  2. Next, add all of the ingredients to a blender and blended until the batter is well combined and smooth.
  3. Pour the crepe batter into batter dish.
  4. Turn the hot side of the crepe maker down and touch the batter for three seconds then flip the other way around.
  5. Cook for 30 seconds, then using the thin crepe spatula flip it over and cook the other side for 30 more seconds. Repeat until finished.
  6. Using hazelnut chocolate sauce in a squeeze bottle drizzle it all over the inside of of the crepe.
  7. Slice the strawberries and bananas and layer them inside of one quarter of the crepe. Fold in half and then in half again until you end up with what looks like a quarter slice of the crepe. Repeat with remaining crepes.
  8. Serve by topping with hazelnut chocolate sauce and powdered sugar and enjoy! Serves 10-12 crepes.
