Garlic Milk Flank Steak Tacos

Garlic Milk Flank Steak Tacos, Taco Tuesday, steak, weeknight dinner, nutrition, clean eating, Sun and Salt Wellness

So through the wormhole that is TikTok, I discovered a recipe similar to this and of course had to try it a few times and add my own pizzazz to it. The citrus helps tenderize the meat and all of the garlic takes the flavor to another level. Needless to say, it is now a family favorite that is on heavy repeat. This garlic milk flank steak tacos recipe is going to blow your mind and the minds of those you love. Make it on your next taco Tuesday, or whenever it strikes your fancy.

Garlic Milk Flank Steak Tacos

Ingredients

* 2 pounds flank steak, each strip cut down into thirds

* 4 tbsp olive oil

* 2 grapefruits, juiced

* 3 limes, juiced

* 1 yellow onion

* 14 cloves garlic

* 1 tbsp garlic powder

* 3 tbsp onion powder

* 2 tbsp Chef Merito Carne Asada Beef Seasoning

* 1 tsp salt

* 1/4 tsp pepper

* Soft shell corn tortillas

* sour cream

* cilantro, chopped

* cherry tomatoes, quartered

Prepare

1. First, place olive oil, grapefruit and lime juices, garlic, garlic powder, Chef Merito carne asada beef seasoning, yellow onion, salt, pepper, into a blender or food processor and blend until completely smooth.

2. Next, pour marinade over flank steak in a bowl and allow to marinate for an hour up to a day in your refrigerator

3. Warm a cast iron skillet to medium-high and cook each side of the steak for 4 minutes or until browned/char bits are visible on each side. Work in batches as needed until the steak pieces are cooked and transfer to a cutting board. Reserve leftover marinade.

4. Add leftover marinade to the hot pan and reduce down for about 10 minutes.

5. Shred steak and add the pan sauce over it for added flavor and juiciness.

6. Finally, assemble tacos using soft corn tortillas, sour cream, cilantro, cherry tomatoes, salt, and pepper, and add your favorite hot sauce to taste. Enjoy!
